QA Engineer (Manual & Automation)

About the role

We are hiring a QA Engineer to own the quality of the web and mobile products we build for our clients. You will design and run test cases, find the bugs before our customers do, and steadily automate the regression suite so that shipping stops being stressful.

This is a hands-on onsite role at our E-11/2 Markaz office in Islamabad, working side by side with developers, designers and project managers. It suits someone with a couple of years of solid manual testing behind them who now wants to grow into automation.

Responsibilities

Write, maintain and execute test cases from requirements, designs and user stories
Perform functional, regression, smoke and exploratory testing across web and mobile applications
Test REST APIs with Postman and validate the results directly in the database
Raise clear, reproducible bug reports with steps, evidence and severity, then verify the fixes
Build and extend automated regression tests using Selenium, Playwright or Cypress
Check releases across browsers and devices before they reach the client
Work with developers to reproduce issues and confirm fixes ahead of release
Contribute to release sign-off and help shape our QA process and standards

Qualifications

2–4 years of professional software testing experience
Solid grasp of QA fundamentals: test case design, severity and priority, the bug lifecycle
Hands-on API testing experience with Postman or a similar tool
Comfortable writing SQL queries to verify data
Exposure to at least one automation tool (Selenium, Playwright or Cypress), or a clear appetite to learn one
Strong written English — your bug reports are read by developers and by clients
Able to work onsite in Islamabad (E-11/2 Markaz), Monday to Friday
